Foundation in Arts

The Foundation in Arts at UOW Malaysia (University of Wollongong Malaysia / UOW Malaysia KDU) is a 1‑year full‑time pre‑university programme structured over three semesters, designed to prepare students for progression into a wide range of non‑science undergraduate degrees such as business, communication, mass media, psychology, humanities, law and other related fields. The programme equips students with essential academic skills, including English language, study and critical thinking skills, basic mathematics, communication, and information technology, while also offering electives such as Introduction to Sociology or Mathematics 2 depending on chosen focus areas. This broad‑based foundation helps students build confidence, analytical abilities, and a solid grounding in core subjects before entering their chosen bachelor’s degree programme at UOW Malaysia or other recognised universities.
