Foundation in Arts

The Foundation in Arts at SEGi University is a 1-year pre-university programme designed to prepare students for progression into a wide range of non-science undergraduate degrees such as business, communication, creative design, hospitality, education, and more. It focuses on building essential academic skills including creative thinking, problem-solving, communication, and practical knowledge that form the basis for future degree study. The curriculum typically includes core subjects like General Language Training, Computer Applications, Introduction to Business, Mathematics, Academic English, Interpersonal Communication, Critical Thinking Skills, Information Technology, Fundamental of Management, Public Speaking, and Principles of Economics, along with a selection of electives chosen to align with students’ intended degree pathways. Upon successful completion of this foundation year, students can smoothly transition into various bachelor’s programmes at SEGi or other universities.
